Event Details

  • Friendly, competitive match play designed for players to gain experience, improve consistency, and meet other tennis players.

  • No partner is required—partners and opponents are assigned through the round robin draw.

Format

  • Round Robin format.

  • Players will be grouped into draws based on skill level to ensure balanced and competitive matches.

  • Players will rotate partners and opponents throughout the event.

Scoring

  • The match format will be determined based on the number of participants registered.

    • Depending on sign-ups, matches will be played as either:

      • 8-point tiebreakers for a faster-paced round robin format, allowing players to rotate through multiple matches.

      • 4-game sets for a longer match-play experience when the schedule and number of players allow.

Final standings will be determined by total match wins.

NTRP Skill Levels

  • 1.5 – 2.0 (Beginner): Learning to hit the ball; limited stroke development or playing experience. [1, 2]

  • 2.5 (Advanced Beginner): Can sustain a short, slow rally and knows basic positioning. [1]

  • 3.0 (Low Intermediate): Fairly consistent on medium-pace shots, but lacks deep directional control. [1, 2]

  • 3.5 (Intermediate): Dependable strokes, directional control on moderate shots, and improved net play.[1]

  • 4.0 (Advanced Intermediate): Reliable shots with directional and depth control; can use lobs, overheads, and volleys effectively. [1]

  • 4.5 (Advanced): Mastered power, spin, and strategy; excellent court coverage and aggressive net play.[1]

  • 5.0 – 5.5 (High Advanced / Regional): Exceptional shot anticipation, heavy weapons, and high-level strategy. [1]
